The Lakeside, at Barns & Yard - Malvern
Well, where do I start!
Kayley & Matt were blessed with the most beautiful weather for their wedding at Barns & Yard, in Worcestershire.
They were full of happiness, and their family were the most welcoming people. It really made my day so chilled and relaxed, as thats what everyone was!
Weddings at Barns and Yard, Malvern - Worcestershire.
Barns & Yard Wedding Venue is a beautifully converted barn which has a stunning lakeside view. Boasting with plenty of character, with its Tudor cottages, The Cartshed and Courtyard. It really has the most beautiful spaces for any type of wedding.
As a photographer, it’s always amazing to see so many of these spaces, especially when the venue is exclusive. This way, if you have a summer or winter wedding, you have various spaces to go (even if it rains!). (See my recent styled winter shoot at barns and yard here, for indoor inspo and winter set ups!)
Luckily, Kayley & Matt had pure sunshine for their wedding, which meant a lot of the time was spent outside - enjoying the views, the gardens and the lake.
The Lake is where I saw the stunning floral arch, I went and got all the detailed photos I could. I could tell how much time, effort that went into the styling for Kayley. Shortly after that I went to meet the girls, who were enjoying popping the Prosecco in the Cottage - the room full of giggles.
Romantic Lakeside Wedding
If you’ve ever taken a look at my Instagram feed, you’ll KNOW that I love outdoor & natural styled photos. I always post a lot of greenery, trees and within the grass.
(I mean Lets honest, whenever its nice weather in the UK, we gotta utilise it! So as soon as the weather clears, I’m taking you out there!)
So I was obviously excited it was all happening outside. When Kayley walked down the aisle, and was stood facing Matt - it was just the most beautiful backdrop with the florals surrounding them.
I captured so many lovely moments, from the vows, to the first kiss - and family smiling throughout the ceremony. It was bliss.
Soon after the confetti & group photos - guests were enjoying a drink and some tasty canapés. This was the perfect moment to then take Kay & Matt away briefly, for some portraits. We walked along the lake, to the bride. We captured some lovely photos here, and it’s nice for them to just have 5-10 mins to themselves. This way they got to soak it all in, and share their excitement together!
Speeches & Entertainment
Nestled together in the Threshing Barn, everyone cheered Kayley & Matt as they entered the room. There was clapping, singing and even some dancing from guests - the roof was well and truly raised. It was clearly an amazing feeling for them as a couple, to walk in and hear everyone so happy. They had the biggest smiles on their faces, as I did too!
The speeches commenced, and I subtly walked around the room capturing all of the candids - lots of laughter, some joyful tears and honestly, so much happiness.
I absolutely loved being a part of Kayley & Matts day. If you’re planning your own wedding at Barns & Yard, I would love to chat to you!
