Charlotte & Chris’ wedding, at Combermere Abbey

Combermere Abbey - Cheshire

I was so incredibly excited when I got Charlotte’s email, asking me to photograph her wedding at Combermere Abbey.

It had been one of the venues I had been waiting to shoot at - so I was very excited to finally get to go and capture a wedding there.

Combermere Abbey is in Cheshire, on the border of Shropshire, which isn’t too far from me!

Obviously, its always going to be a bit of a bonus when a venue is more local, but the fact that it’s one of THE most beautiful venues I’ve worked at - was even more amazing!

Bright, Light & Full of love - Cheshire Wedding Photography

Chris & Charlotte are such a laid back and relaxed couple, which really was clear when they booked me. They just wanted the day to be blissful and chilled, and wanted me to capture the day in a natural & relaxed way - perfect!

When I arrived, I met Charlotte in the Keepers cottage, she was so smiley & excited. Her bridesmaids were enjoying Prosecco whilst steaming their dresses - the air was full of laughter.

I went on the hunt to then find Chris, who had just arrived.

On the way down to the lads, I went through the most beautiful gardens at Combermere, adorned with colour and romance.

Being a lovely summers day, it was literally perfect & I was SO excited!

Chris & his groomsmen were all ready for me, we then took some photos of them together whilst they were looking dapper in their cream suits.

I must admit, I do love a cream suit - especially on a sunny day!

Moments that truly matter

Charlotte was then getting ready for her final touch ups & into her dress. She looked absolutely stunning in her satin dress & veil.

I always try to capture meaningful moments all throughout the day - and when Charlotte told me about her dad’s passing, she showed me the most beautiful sentiment I think ive ever seen. Her dad’s fingerprint and handwriting, etched into a charm which ws on her bouquet. So he got to walk down the aisle with her too. Honestly, such a beautiful thought to remember him on her special day.

Once ready, we headed over to the stunning Glasshouse. Chris was waiting patiently for Charlotte, with the biggest smile as she walked up the aisle.

The air was full of love, you can truly see how much they adore one another. Holding hands & saying I do, underneath the beautiful blossom tree.

The FIRST KISS

Surrounded by family & friends, Charlotte and Chris said “I do” at Combermere Abbey, In Cheshire.

Soon after the ceremony, we headed out for the confetti photo! Everyone was cheering and the happy couple came out beaming. They enjoyed the sun, enjoying drinks and golf on the gardens. We took lovely portraits of the wedding party in the gardens, before heading off to the Abbey for some photos of them alone.

It was the most perfect day, for the most perfect couple!

Sarah & Claire at The Mill Barns

I was so excited to come to the Mill Barns to capture Claire & Sarahs wedding.

They had booked their wedding in 2021! But due to covid, it got postponed to 2023.

Luckily, I was free on their second date - and we got to enjoy their wedding at the beautiful venue they had dreamed of.

Relaxed wedding at The Mill Barns

Sarah & Claire are such a relaxed and friendly couple! We first met at a wedding fair where they told me all of their ideas for their big day. They really emphasised on wanting natural & candid photos, and spending time with their family & friends. Of course, we got some “posed” and “formal” photos too, but overall they wanted a laid back approach to me documenting their day.

CANDID PHOTOGRAPHY

This was perfect for me, as I love capturing everything in a natural & unobtrusive way. My goal is to document everything, as and how it’s happening, and giving gentle props as and when needed.

With a love of details & candids, I want you to remember your day as & how it happens. To be reminded of the ‘little’ things, the ‘big’ things & everything in between. Most of C&S’s day was about capturing the moments, the laughter & the love. They had the most amazing morning getting ready in separate rooms - which I went back and forth to. Its great having both perspectives on the morning, as no details goes amiss.

Walking up the aisle, together.

One of the most beautiful moments form their wedding, was when Sarah & Claire walked up the aisle simultaneously, meeting each other at the top. It really was a special moment when they saw each other. There was so much happiness between them - it was so heartwarming which brought a lot of (happy) tears!

Evening reception

After the ceremony & group photos, the wedding party enjoyed their meal & speeches. Full of laughter and fun - the evening reception soon started which was amazing!

Everyone joined in with their best dance moves! It’s always lovely to see people joining in and not having a care in the world. It’s all about letting your hair down and enjoying time with your friends & family - which is exactly what they did.

I had the most amazing time capturing their wedding, and I cant wait to be back at The Mill Barns soon.

If you’re getting married at The Mill Barns too, please don’t hesitate to contact me to have a chat about your big day!
